MERMAID SEA SALT Soap is the color of the turquoise Caribbean Sea loaded in mineralizing sea salt. We designed this soap with a tropical scent profile fit for a mermaid. We blended tropical fruits & juicy melons with lime, tangerine & kumquat to get this scent. It's sweet, tropical, with a punch of citrus. You can't stop smelling it.

INGREDIENTS: Natural Pacific sea salt, coconut oil, water, lye, castor bean oil, phthalate free fragrance oil, soap colorant, cosmetic mica.


Sea salt soap is a different recipe & type of soap than our original soap. It isn’t merely sprinkled with sea salt; it contains nearly half pure sea salt & half a coconut soap recipe formulated to make a creamy lotion-like lather. This soap is a different soap experience than most people are used to, but once you try it, you’ll see why it’s been around for centuries in therapeutic bath houses and spas.


Sea salt naturally is mineral rich with magnesium, potassium, calcium iodine and zinc. Your skin drinks up these necessary minerals as the salt draws toxins from pores. Salt is naturally antibacterial, antifungal & antiviral. Sea water bathing has been known forever to be the prescription for many skin problems that plague us. It is truly rejuvenating to the body & soul to bathe in sea water. Now you can have your own therapeutic sea water bath in your own bathroom with our sea salt bars.


The oils used in this soap are chosen to balance the properties of the salt in soap so that it is not drying. The soap recipe is mostly organic, unrefined coconut oil chosen for it’s cleansing & skin loving benefits. It’s balanced by a little castor bean oil which produces a thick, creamy lotion-like lather different from our normal soap recipe, but luxurious in it’s own way. This bar is superfatted to to a very high percentage, meaning there are lots of unsaponified oils available to moisturize your skin.


Because of the nature of this soap, it is rough on the edges & surfaces for the first use. Use a washcloth the first time to buff down the raw edges before using it directly on your skin. After the first use, it becomes like a smooth, polished stone. It’s much heavier & denser than other bars it’s size & will last longer than most soaps if you allow it to drain & dry completely between uses.

Sea salt soap is best used as a body bar. Use with caution on the more delicate skin of your face and I prefer not to shave with salt soap as well since the high salt content can sting if you get shaving knicks.


Etsy handles the payments. While it is usually done very quickly, any delays or problems with payment will have to be handled with Etsy. We don't have access to your payment accounts through your order except to cancel or refund an already processed order.

Shipping from United States

Nearly all of our packages ship via USPS. We use UPS at times for bulk orders. Tracking for either will be added to your shipment when it's sent.

First Class shipping is offered for an economical shipping option on some lightweight items. First Class is not insured should USPS lose or damage your package. Priority Mail is offered as a shipping upgrade on those items and will automatically insure your package for loss and damage up to $100 value. Please use First Class at your own risk.

(**If your order is domestic & $6.50 or more in shipping, you are getting Priority Mail automatically, so no need to pay for the shipping upgrade.**)

We try to ship out all packages in a timely manner and accommodate customers in a hurry for an item, but please order your supplies before they run out so you aren't stuck in limbo should something unfortunate happen during the delivery of your package. We cannot guarantee any delivery time frame and are not responsible for inconvenience as a result of a package delayed by loss or damage by USPS.

You're covered for a maximum of $100 unless you pay for insurance for the actual value of your order over $100. If there is no option to add insurance to your shipping and you would like insurance, send us an Etsy message and we can add it for you. If USPS is at fault for the damage of your package, $100 is the maximum they will refund to you unless insurance was paid for.

Lightweight (under 4lb) International Shipments sent First Class are not insured for loss or damage. If you would like insurance for loss or damage, you will need to message us for Priority Mail service. If your package is over 4lbs, it will go priority mail automatically. Please inquire if you want to insure or add priority mail service to your International package.

All customs, duty & VAT fees that may incur upon shipping are the buyer's responsibility and we don't have control over these fees. Check your country's laws regarding these before you ship.

International shipments are usually completed in 7 business days, but sometimes customs holds an item delaying the delivery. Please be advised the delivery time frame is out of our control.

We occasionally send more valuable packages with signature confirmation so USPS cannot drop a valuable package on a porch and walk away leaving it open to theft or loss. We utilize this service at our discretion. No loss claims can be filed on a package that is signed for. Damage claims can be filed as stated in the procedures below.

This fee means your order is guaranteed to leave Two Wild Hares within 24 business hours of order receipt. No other delivery speed guarantee is implied by this fee. It just means we hurry up and get it on it's way quickly!


Orders cannot be cancelled once they are shipped. Returns are accepted only on a case by case basis. Please message for approval before returning an item. Batch certified colorants are always non refundable or exchangeable because the certification cannot be transferred.

To file a claim, within 7 days of receipt, submit photographs of all of the packaging as it was when it arrived and the specific damage to the contents with an explanation of what was lost or broken. USPS often requires photo proof to pay a claim and your claim is likely to be rejected without it. We will supply USPS with the invoice on your behalf. If USPS damages your package, we have to abide by their decision on the claim. We professionally package all orders to avoid damage occurring and damage is actually very rare for us, but if damage happens, claims can take weeks, so please be patient. We cannot speed up USPS claim processing and aren't responsible for any inconvenience as a result of the delay of the delivery of your package because of waiting on damage claims.

These damages are not covered:

1. Dog or another animal chewing up package

2. Items inside cut by careless package opening

3. Neglecting to pick up package from mail box promptly resulting in heat, rain or other damage as a result

4. Not providing a safe place for delivery. Packages left outside apartment doors are not safe.

5. Customer supplied incorrect address or address was not entered in the USPS standardized format.

Make sure your local PO knows where to safely leave your packages and pick them up promptly. Be careful entering your address and opening your packages. We pack boxes full and tight, so don't use a box cutter!

We are happy to enter the claim for you on USPS should one be needed and accommodate a reshipment of your package if a claim is paid. If you enter the claim online yourself, we are unable to do anything further for you regarding your damaged package. As stated at the top, only Priority Mail packages are insured against damage. We will finish the claim process for you and reship your items if a claim is paid. To file a claim, you must notify Two Wild Hares no more than 7 days after the delivery of your package.

If your package is missing in action, we unfortunately have to wait 15 days to file a claim through USPS. We aim for quick and accurate deliveries, but lost packages sometimes happen and are out of our control. We cannot speed up USPS claim processing and aren't responsible for any inconvenience as a result of the delay of having to wait for the 15 days to file a claim. Your package is insured for a maximum of $100 unless you've paid for the additional insurance for the value over $100. Only Priority Mail packages are insured against loss. We are happy to enter a loss claim for you on USPS should one be needed and accommodate a reshipment of your package if a claim is paid. If you enter the claim online yourself, we are unable to do anything further for you regarding your lost package. To file a loss claim, you must notify us within 21 days of the shipment date for a MIA package and within 7 days of delivery if the package tracks delivered.
